WHO WE ARE
(YM)COUTURE emerged from a place of frustration, determination, and a burning desire to rewrite the narrative of starting a clothing brand.
It all began with our CEO, Ysla, who, like many aspiring designers, harboured a dream of creating her own fashion line.
However, the journey to realise this dream was fraught with obstacles.
Ysla encountered a harsh reality when attempting to navigate the fashion industry landscape.
Traditional avenues for manufacturing and production either ignored her inquiries or presented extortionate prices.
The process seemed to demand several intermediaries—pattern makers, tech pack creators, and more—each adding their own costs while delivering subpar results. The high minimum order quantities (MOQs) and the reluctance of established manufacturers to collaborate with a new brand further compounded the challenges.
Faced with a maze of inefficiency, exorbitant costs, and a lack of support, Ysla saw an opportunity to revolutionise the industry.
She envisioned a clothing manufacturer that would serve as a one-stop solution, guiding aspiring designers through every stage of their journey, from concept to creation. And thus, (YM)COUTURE was born.
